PHI Pilates prepares you to sit for the national Pilates Certification Exam originally developed by the Pilates Method Alliance and accredited by the NCAA, by providing 113 hours of modular course work and guiding you through 350 hours of observation and practice teaching hours.
The PHI Pilates program was developed by Dr. Christine Romani-Ruby and is based on the original method of Joseph Pilates. Christine holds a masters in physical therapy, a certificate in athletic training, a bachelors degree in exercise science and a doctorate in education and she teaches full time at a University in the online environment. These qualities have created a program that is safe and effective for the general population while addressing the needs of those with injuries or specialization in sport.
All courses have specific objectives with tests based on those course objectives. The written testing is done online which helps the student to prepare for the online exam for national certification and practicals take place throughout the individual modules. All program faculty are Pilates Certified and have been teaching teachers for at least 5 years.
Observation and practice hours are set up individually and we work with a teacher in your area as your mentor so that you can reduce the expense of travel.
If you have some training through another organization, we are happy to consider credit into our bridge program. This is done on an individual basis so please contact us if you are interested in the bridge program.
